Website in a Week: Ditch DIY & Get a Site That Fits Your Vibe

Let’s be real—building your own website can feel like that one DIY project you were super pumped about at first.

You know, until you find yourself knee-deep in a sea of YouTube tutorials, swearing at the screen because your “Contact Us” button decided to ghost you.

And don’t even get me started on mobile optimization (aka the monster under every creative’s bed).

If this sounds like your life, I have some good news: you don’t have to live like this.

Cue the confetti cannons—enter Website in a Week.

Yup, you read that right. In just seven days, you can have a custom, fully optimized website that looks as good as your photography skills.

It’s not magic (though it feels like it); it’s just good design and a little hustle.

No fairy godmothers or caffeine-induced breakdowns required.

Why Website in a Week is Basically a Game-Changer

You know that buzz you get when you launch something new?

Like, when you post a killer photo series and your DMs light up with compliments? Now, imagine that feeling times ten, because this isn’t just a new Instagram post—this is your entire online presence getting a glow-up.

Instead of patching together a template that kinda-sorta works, you get a site that’s designed with your brand, your clients, and your goals in mind.

It’s like upgrading from instant ramen to a five-star meal—still quick, but way more satisfying.

Here’s What You’re Actually Getting (No BS)

Let’s break it down. Here’s what’s on the menu with Website in a Week:

  • Client Questionnaire: This bad boy digs deep. You’ll tell me all about your business, your audience, and what you want your site to do. Your answers are basically my treasure map to building a site that’s not just pretty, but actually works for you.

  • Pre-Design Strategy Call: This is where we will go over everything from the client questionnaire and your mood board, so I can make a cohesive plan for the design week.

  • Up to 6 Custom Pages: I’m talking Home, About, Services, Blog, Contact, and Portfolio—the works. Need a different setup? I’m flexible like that. Each page is designed with purpose, guiding your visitors to do exactly what you want them to, whether it’s booking a session or just ogling your stunning portfolio.

  • Basic SEO Setup: Don’t worry, I won’t get all techy on you. This just means your site is primed to show up when people search for your services. Because what good is a gorgeous site if no one can find it?

  • Mobile Optimization: More people are going to see your site on their phone than on a desktop—so yeah, this is kind of a big deal. Your site will look just as slick on a tiny screen as it does on your laptop.

  • Personalized Video Walk-Through: Once your site is live, I’m not just gonna toss you the keys and say “good luck!” I’ll send you a video tour of your new digs, showing you exactly how to update your site, post new blog entries, swap out images—you name it.

  • Two Weeks of Web Support: Need a couple of tweaks after launch? No problem. I’ve got your back for two whole weeks. It’s like having a tech-savvy friend on speed dial, without the awkward “I owe you one” vibes.

  • 20% Off Your First Year of a New Squarespace Plan: Because who doesn’t love a good deal? If you’re new to Squarespace, you’ll get a sweet 20% off your first year. More money for camera gear, am I right?

Why the 1-Month Lead Time? It’s All About the Prep Work

I get it—you’re raring to go. But great things take a little prep. We need at least a month to get all the pieces in place before I can whip up your shiny new site in a week. Here’s the client homework you’ll need to have ready:

  1. Answer the Client Questionnaire: This is your site’s blueprint. The more you share about your business and your vision, the better I can build something that feels like it was made for you. (Because it was.)

  2. Mood Boarding: Gather some inspo! This could be other sites you love, colors that speak to your brand, or even random things that make you go “yep, that’s the vibe.” I recommend using Pinterest for this and all you have to do is add me to the board!

  3. Write Your Website Copy: Don’t stress if writing’s not your thing—I’ve got a Web Copy Workbook to help you nail down your messaging. Your voice needs to come through loud and clear, so your dream clients know they’ve found their person. – You can even use ChatGPT to help you out.

  4. Collect Your Images: Pull together the best of the best of your images for your portfolio and to be displayed throughout your entire website. The ones that speak to the type of clients you want to book. Make sure you have pro shots of yourself too! Brand images that speak to your personality will help pull your complete brand together and allow your ideal clients to get to know, like. and trust who you are. So, either book yourself a brand shoot or pop your camera on a tripod and take some self-portraits.

  5. Strategy Call: A week or two before your design week (depends on how soon you’re able to return the client questionnaire and mood board) we will have a call to go over everything to make sure we are on the same page. I will use all of these details to start the design process.

What Does the Website Design Process Look Like?

  • 1-2 weeks before design week: Strategy call/Wireframe homepage

  • Day 1: Homepage Build/Client Review & Approval

  • Day 2-4: Interior Pages Build

  • Day 5: Client Review/Revisions

  • Day 6-7: Test & Launch!

Why I Love Squarespace (And You Will Too)

If you’re on the fence about platforms, let me make it easy: Squarespace is where it’s at. It’s sleek, user-friendly, and gives you the power to make changes yourself without needing to know code.

You get a pro-level design without the tech headaches, which means you can spend less time freaking out over updates and more time doing what you love—like shooting, editing, and living your best life.

Let’s Get You Online & Looking Fab

Imagine this: a website that doesn’t just sit there, but actually works for you, drawing in clients and making you look like the rockstar you are.

So, if you’re ready to upgrade from DIY headaches to a custom site you’re proud to show off—and in just 7 days—Website in a Week might just be your new BFF.

But heads up, I only take on TWO of these projects a month, so grab your spot while you can.

Let’s make something awesome together!
