Becky Jensen - A Modern Portrait Experience
This is Becky.
She is an incredibly accomplished woman who wanted to celebrate herself and her upcoming 40th birthday with a photo experience she can cherish forever, for herself and for her family. We started with her family photos the night before, for a perfect golden hour glow. We then met up the next morning at my studio and had her personal photoshoot, where I did her hair and makeup and she was able to relax before her session.
I had an absolute blast with Becky, getting to know her through the planning process and seeing her really shine during her session.
The transformation that occurs from the very beginning to the end, when everything is all said and done— after all the planning, after all the makeup and hair, after the photoshoot, after the photo reveal, the raw emotion that occurs when you see a person see themselves, I mean truly see themselves the way they should….THIS is what it is all about. THIS is what makes it so so so worth it to me.
I am so grateful for each client that allows me to be on this journey with them. I want to thank Becky for trusting me to be apart of this journey with her and be able to show her the woman she wanted to meet in her photos… Becky Jensen. A wife. A mother. A successful business professional. A strong woman. A beautiful soul.
There is a lot in this world that can make you feel like less. My whole life, no matter how successful I have been, or how intelligent or how kind, or how good my blood work is, or how much I workout, or even how joyful I feel each day, it never seemed to matter as much as the number on the scale. I have been always reduced to that number, by myself, and by many others, in many situations. It has taken me 39 years and 11 months to realize my worth. I struggled with the idea of a photo shoot with only me in front of the camera. At first it felt selfish, maybe even shallow or conceited. However, as I look at these photos (and those of my family), I realized that God has given me so much. He doesn't make mistakes. My worth doesn't lie in these photos, nor on the scale. I took some time to appreciate what I have. These reflect that appreciation for life. My life. My success, not failure. Tracy Gerow has helped me see who I am at almost 40 years old. My capacity to love is big, and that is what I intend to do for the next 40 years. Work to show love and mercy in each step I take. Thanks Tracy Nichole Photography LLC.
